Annie Kuhn is a writer and artist living in Bangor, Maine.  She has a BA in Studio Arts from Macalester College and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College. She currently teaches writing classes at Eastern Maine Community College and art at the Haworth Academic Center.  Previously she taught creative writing at The Hammond Street Senior Center and at Academy College in Bloomington, Minnesota.  Annie is an active member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI) and has published several illustrations.  Also a children’s bookseller for many years, Annie has worked at the Briar Patch Book Shop since moving to Bangor 3 years ago.  She is currently seeking a publisher for a picture book and a collection of children’s poetry that she has written.
