When I was a child, my father was an art teacher. Our house was filled with art that he'd created. My mother was a talented crafter, and her creations also enriched my childhood. It's no wonder that I made my own art from the time I was first able to grasp a crayon.
In college I immersed myself in art, finding joy in both painting and working with fabrics. This combination eventually led me to theater work in props and costume design. I also did some illustration work, and especially loved working with the children's magazine New Moon.
My art career was temporarily put on hold while I raised a family, worked at "real" jobs, went to graduate school, and moved across the country twice. Now that my children have grown, I am back to the life of a creator. You can see some of my work, from the early days as well as my recent creations, on the fine art and illustration pages of this website.
