My father was an art teacher. Our house was filled with art works that he created. My mother was more of a crafter, but her creations also enriched my childhood. It's no wonder that I made my own art from the time I was first able to grasp a crayon.
In college I immersed myself in art, finding joy in both painting and working with fabrics. This combo eventually led me to theater work early in my career, in both props and costume design. I also did some illustration work, and especially loved working with the children's magazine New Moon.
My art career was temporarily put on hold while I raised a family, worked at "real" jobs, went to graduate school, and moved across the country twice. Now that my children have grown, I am back to the life of a creator. You can see some of my work, from the early days as well as my recent creations, on the fine art and illustration pages of this website.
